Today is the 2nd week for waiting of my work visa. I have not heard anything significant from my employer, except that they are working/processing on it. I was told earlier that it would take 14 days (presumed working days) to have it after I submitted a scan copy of my passport. If my counting is correct then I could have it next week. I am hoping that it will be available then.
For the meantime, I am having a good time with my unpaid vacation leave. To spend my time, I'm busy sorting my digital files in my backup hard disk. I realized that I don't have a good file management system. Some of my files are duplicated or even more... in triplicates. In order for me to be a one notch higher, I need to have good file management systems to implement. In this age of digital files, the first thing you will have is a good file management system.
In-between fixing my digital files, I take some readings on fluid mechanics to review some of the basic concept. In my reading, I began to appreciate the works of Prandtl and Taylor on the modern fluid mechanics. I need to review this in order to prepare and equip myself in my next career as a CPD&T Engineer. I know that it will need a solid knowledge foundation on fluid mechanics. Also I need to submit an engineering explanation of the reason why the MicroMod testing I conducted during the month of August, while I was still in EDC, is not successful. In the draft report that I have submitted, I have argued that the reason for unsuccessful testing is because it did not attained complete tracer dilution in the mixing length (the distance between injection and sampling point). Although the report did not include an engineering proof, I felt that I still owe an explanation to that reasoning even if I am no longer connected to EDC.
